Batman, The Spirit and Doc Savage. Three of my favorites. A new universe with the DC Brand for them to play in. On paper, First Wave seems awesome.

Yes, I have heard the reports. I do not know what to think at this point. Of course, none of this was known to me when I reviewed the book. Looking at the panels that have been presented... there is definitely referencing going on, but as far as plagarism, that is not my call to make. Tite Kubo seems to be pleased with all the attention his book is getting as a result and maybe that is the way we should approach it.

The celebrated creator of Ooku presents a decidedly more feminine work.

50 issues. A milestone to be sure. So this issue should be a party to the awesomeness of the character, right?

I very much dug Narcopolis. It was very Brave New World ish and it was hampered by a Newspeak, but it was a solid comic. The other one he did for Avatar about the pirates made no sense at all.

Steam Punk! Warren Ellis! Raulo Caceres! Seriously, why read what I have to say, you should go buy a copy before they are all gone!

Demo returns with a new issue under the Vertigo banner. The book that really launched the careers of Becky Cloonan and Brian Wood is back.

Copper sprung to life out of a design for a tee shirt. At least that is what Kibuishi says in this surprisingly enlightening collection of his web comic series.

This is good if you are a fan of the show. The Milligan stuff is good, but the first half of the collection I mention is a mess, the second half more than makes up for it though.
